Building simulation is an art of creating a desirable, well functioning, and simplified scenario of a complex system with complex relationships. This applies to many aspects of the building design. During the past couple of years, I have been the firm-wide Design Application expert at Perkins + Will to produce, mentor, and develop building simulation models for variety of architectural schemes. I am utilizing Ecotect software from Square One/Autodesk to perform building design and environmental analysis in order to understand how a building performs at an early design stage. Such environmental analysis utilizes an integrated design, visualization and simulation technique as a powerful method to inform the designers from concept design and beyond.

Ecotect Teaching [2 full days]: This course teaches attendees how to produce highly visual and interactive building design and environmental analysis visualization. The course utilizes Ecotect from Square One as the cutting edge technology to produce wide range of environmental analysis including: solar, thermal, energy, lighting, acoustics, and resource consumption usage and cost aspects. The aim is that users can truly understand how a building design will perform environmentally. The main advantage is a focus on feedback at the earliest design stages of the building design process.

I can teach two full-days Ecotect for groups (and individuals), so if you are interested in learning Ecotect then please contact me here and I'll be glad to send you a summary of the taught course.
